Since its founding in 1989, SOGOC has made continuing education the first pillar of its action. In partnership with FIGO, SOGOC has helped train more than 300 practitioners in comprehensive abortion care and the management of obstetric complications.
Each year, the society organizes its national congress — 32 editions held to date — gathering hundreds of OB-GYNs, midwives and residents from Cameroon and the CEMAC region. In addition, regional seminars, hands-on workshops (ultrasound, laparoscopy, obstetric emergencies, neonatal resuscitation) and decentralised CME sessions cover all 10 regions of the country.
All our programmes are designed by peers, scientifically validated and adapted to the African context, in collaboration with academic partners (CNGOF, Cameroonian universities) and institutional partners (ONMC, MINSANTE).
