Overview
The 32nd SOGOC Congress was held from April 10 to 13, 2024 at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé, under the theme "Obstetrics and Gynecology in Sub-Saharan Africa: between tradition and modernity".
Held under the joint patronage of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSANTE) and the Ministry of Women's Promotion and the Family (MINPROFF), the event was opened by a formal ceremony chaired by Prof. Louis Richard NJOCK, representing the health authorities.
Four intensive days of training, plenary conferences, symposia and hands-on workshops brought together experts from Benin, Burkina Faso and Cameroon, as well as international partners. Topics covered maternal health, gynecological oncology, reproductive health, perinatology and surgical innovations.
This 32nd edition confirmed SOGOC's central role in shaping modern obstetrics and gynecology in sub-Saharan Africa.
